These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Trade-In Warranty program ("Program") operated by JKDesigns ("we," "us," or "our") through https://jkdesigns.lk/ ("Website"). By registering a device, creating an account, or using any part of this Program, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Eligibility
To participate in this Program, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Be the lawful owner of the device being registered
- Have purchased the device from an authorised dealer or shop registered under this Program [JKDesigns - Jaffna]
3. Device Registration
3.1 Each eligible device comes with a unique 6-digit and 16-digit registration key printed on the product packaging or included documentation.
3.2 You must register your device within the registration deadline specified for that product. Registrations submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.
3.3 Each device may only be registered once. Attempting to register an already-registered device will be rejected.
3.4 You must select a registered shop and branch at the time of registration. The selected branch will be associated with your device record for the duration of the warranty.
3.5 By registering, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these Terms and any applicable Terms & Conditions linked at the time of registration.
4. Trade-In Warranty
4.1 Devices registered under this Program are eligible for a Trade-In Warranty ("TIW"), which entitles the registered owner to a discount on a qualifying trade-in or replacement, subject to the conditions specified at the time of registration.
4.2 The discount percentage applicable to your device is determined by the condition assessment conducted at the time of the trade-in claim. This assessment is final and at the sole discretion of JKDesigns.
4.3 The Trade-In Warranty is valid only while the registration remains in "active" status. Expired, declined, or transferred registrations are not eligible for new claims.
4.4 JKDesigns reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Trade-In Warranty program at any time with reasonable notice.
5. Equipment Warranty
5.1 Where an Equipment Warranty is associated with your registered device, coverage is subject to the duration (dated) and conditions specified on the product or registration confirmation.
5.2 Equipment Warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidents, unauthorised modifications, or normal wear and tear.
5.3 Lifetime warranty , where applicable, covers defects in materials and workmanship for as long as the original registered owner owns the device.
6. Warranty Transfer
6.1 The Trade-In Warranty may be transferred to another person ("Recipient") subject to the following conditions:
- The transfer must be initiated through your account dashboard
- The Recipient must be a registered user of this Website. If the Recipient is not registered, they will receive an invitation email and must register before the transfer can be completed
- Each transfer permanently reduces the applicable trade-in discount by 5% (the "Transfer Reduction")
- The Transfer Reduction is applied only when the Recipient accepts the transfer
- Transfer cannot be initiated if a transfer is already pending for the same device
- You cannot transfer a device to yourself
6.2 Once a transfer is completed, the device is removed from your account and added to the Recipient's account. This action is irreversible.
6.3 The Equipment Warranty is non-transferable and remains associated with the original registered owner unless otherwise stated.
6.4 Pending transfers that are declined by the Recipient will return the device to active status in the original owner's account.
7. Shop and Branch Registration
7.1 Businesses wishing to register as a shop under this Program must provide accurate business information including shop name, business nature, employee count, address, country, city, and postal code.
7.2 Each shop must have at least one Main Branch. Device registrations are linked to a specific branch.
7.3 A branch may not be deleted while active device registrations are associated with it.
7.4 JKDesigns reserves the right to verify, suspend, or remove any shop or branch that provides inaccurate information or violates these Terms.
8. Account Responsibilities
8.1 You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
8.2 You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
8.3 You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
9. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Register a device you do not own
- Use false or misleading information during registration
- Attempt to circumvent the registration or transfer system
- Register a device more than once using different accounts
- Engage in any activity that disrupts or interferes with the Program
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, JKDesigns shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of this Program, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of discount value, or interruption of service.
Our total liability to you in connection with this Program shall not exceed the amount you paid for any warranty extension purchased through this Website.

2. Warranty Extension Purchases
2.1 Warranty extensions are digital service purchases that extend the Equipment Warranty period for a registered device.
2.2 Once a warranty extension is successfully processed and applied to a device registration, it is considered fully delivered and is non-refundable.
2.3 You are responsible for verifying that you are purchasing an extension for the correct device and for the correct number of years before completing your purchase.
3. Eligible Refunds
A refund may be considered in the following circumstances:
- Duplicate purchase: You were charged more than once for the same warranty extension due to a technical error
- Purchase not applied: You completed payment but the extension was not applied to your device registration due to a system error
- Unauthorized transaction: A purchase was made on your account without your knowledge or consent (subject to investigation)
Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of the purchase date and equipment must be in sealed packs (not opened or used).
4. Non-Refundable Items and Situations
The following are not eligible for a refund:
- Warranty extensions that have been successfully applied to a device registration
- Purchases where the warranty period has already commenced
- Purchases made more than 14 days prior to the refund request
- Situations where you have changed your mind after a successful purchase
- Device registrations (no fee is charged for standard device registration)
- Trade-in discounts — discount values are not monetary and cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash
